Kayleigh Doyle was born in Madisonville Kentucky. Her rural upbringing is often the backdrop for her work. The Western Kentucky based artist uses print-based techniques alongside soft sculpture and other 2-D media to explore the connection with her family and the notion of home . The influence of family photos, knick-knacks, antique furniture, old local buildings, and interior designs from the 1960’s to present day can be seen throughout her work. She explores the ideas of ingenuity in the face od necessity, domesticity, nostalgia, and the preciousness of the mundane.
